PUMA goes Clever

PUMA has revamped its packaging with what they called the “Clever Little Bag”.

Firstly, they phase out the traditional plastic shopping bags with a 100% biodegradeable alternative made from cornstarch. The company claims that this new bag is capable of completely degarding after only 3 months in a home compost pile, or completely dissolved in water in just a few minutes. This replacement will save 192 tons of plastic and 293 tons of paper each year.

Then the German company launched its reusable shoe bag made fitted inside a cardboard frame. This will massively reduce its carbon 'paw print', saving 8,500 tonnes of paper, the weight of 1,400 elephants every year.
